Granite walls catching the light, alpine air moving through the trees, and wide open valleys that feel timeless and still. Yosemite invites you to slow down, move with intention, and let the landscape shape the story as it unfolds.

What we have

PLANNED

 3 ELOPEMENTS / 3 CASUAL SHOOTS / 6 SHOOTS / 6 COUPLES

You’ll document three full elopement-style stories alongside three slower, documentary-led sessions, working with six couples throughout the retreat. Each experience is designed to mirror a real Yosemite elopement—thoughtfully paced, grounded in the landscape, and guided by genuine movement and connection.

You’ll leave with a cohesive, honest body of work. Images that feel lived in and true to the place. Work that reflects what it actually looks like to photograph couples in Yosemite, and gives future clients a clear sense of the experience they’re stepping into when they choose you.

6 Fully Styled Shoots

This retreat is built around real experience in a landscape that demands presence. Yosemite slows you down in the best way, inviting you to move with intention, pay attention to light and terrain, and let the environment lead.
You’ll create work throughout Yosemite’s valleys, towering granite walls, winding trails, and quiet alpine spaces. Each shoot is guided but unforced, with room for natural movement, honest connection, and stories that unfold instead of being staged.
You’ll receive clear, practical direction during every shoot, with time to experiment, ask questions, and refine how you work in dynamic outdoor settings. We’ll focus on reading light, navigating weather, and creating images that feel thoughtful and grounded rather than overproduced.
Lodging is intentionally chosen to support rest and connection, with shared time built in for conversation and reflection. The pace is steady and spacious, allowing you to stay engaged without feeling rushed.
You’ll leave with a strong, cohesive body of work, a clearer understanding of how to photograph in mountain and national park environments, and tools you can carry forward into future destination work with confidence.

SO, WHATS INCLUDED?

You won’t be stepping into this experience unprepared. Before we arrive, you’ll receive a detailed Yosemite guide covering locations, logistics, timing, terrain, and practical considerations. You’ll have the context and confidence to focus on creating, instead of figuring things out on the fly.

You’ll be added to a private group chat with the other attendees ahead of the retreat. It’s a space to connect, ask questions, coordinate travel if needed, and arrive already feeling grounded and supported before we even step into the park.

You’ll walk away with complete galleries that feel lived in and believable. Work that reflects what photographing couples in Yosemite truly looks like not just highlights, but full narratives future clients can see themselves inside.

This experience is intentionally kept small. No crowding. No rushing for a turn. Just space to slow down, observe, and create with purpose. You’ll photograph alongside a close group of artists who feel more like collaborators than competitors. The pace is steady, the environment supportive, and the focus stays on creating meaningful work while exploring Yosemite together.

3 elopement stories. 3 relaxed sessions.6 real couples.
