I’m Amberlyn.
I create space for photographers to step away from the expected and into work that feels honest, expansive, and lived in. Through retreats, workshops, and shared experiences, I help you slow down, trust your eye, and build confidence through real moments in real places.
This is about intention over urgency.
Experience over performance.
And work that feels like it belongs to you.
It’s incredibly meaningful to create spaces where photographers can grow, learn, and feel supported. If you enjoy adventure, learning through experience, and a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of laughter, you’re exactly who these retreats are for.
Whether you’re building your foundation or refining your creative voice, each retreat and workshop is designed to help you walk away feeling capable, confident, and inspired to keep growing.
My photography journey has been deeply meaningful, but it did not begin with certainty or confidence. In the early days, there was a lot of self doubt and a strong feeling of being boxed into work that lacked creativity. I was searching for something more, something rooted in connection and purpose, and I knew staying comfortable was no longer an option.
So I chose the unknown.
Photography began as something small and unstructured, moving from shoot to shoot without a clear direction. I was learning as I went, following curiosity more than any plan. Over time, what became clear was not just a love for creating images, but a deeper calling to connect with people and create space for meaningful experience.
That pull toward connection and growth is what eventually led me beyond simply photographing moments and into teaching, hosting, and guiding others. As I traveled to new places and worked in inspiring environments, I saw how powerful it was to learn through experience and shared creativity.
Since then, photography has taken me around the world and into spaces that continue to shape who I am and how I teach. Today, that journey lives on through retreats and workshops designed to help photographers step into their confidence, trust their creative voice, and grow through real experience in beautiful places.
